Lost in the Woods!

On Wednesday afternoon while we were resting at the house before going back to dinner at Jack and Carrie's Mike decided to take the kids exploring in the woods behind the house. I decided to stay back and return a few phone calls and just enjoy a little silence :)

It was about an hour into the trek that my phone rang with a Tennessee area number. It was Mike letting me know that they were lost and that they had gone to a house to use the phone (because he forgot his!). The very nice family ended up driving them all back!!! We ended up being about an hour late to dinner, but it was an adventure!!! And they survived!!

Trampoline Fun!!!

We had a fantastic time hanging out with Jack and Carrie and the kids, but the highlight of our trip had to be the trampoline!!!

The trampoline was the perfect activity for us in between visits to see the Carmody's and we even took one last jump (at 5:30 am - completely dark and freezing) when we left on Friday morning!!!

More Fun in South Carolina

On Wednesday morning in SC we woke up and took our time getting ready.

It felt like a quick trip and all too soon it was time to head back home! We got up early and headed back to FL on Friday morning. For the most part our kids do great in the car so it was an easy drive.

And then about two hours away from home Owen threw up!

About 30 mins later...

Both passed out cold!

Thanksgiving Trip to the Carmody's

This year because Jack and Carrie recently had a new baby we decided to make a trip up to see them and Thanksgiving was the perfect time because the kids had a full week off of school. Unfortunately because they had a new baby it just became too difficult with 5 kids and 4 adults for us to stay at their house. But lucky for us, they arranged for us to stay at one of their friends houses while they were away. And my kids thought it was a "dream house".

 We arrived on Tuesday afternoon and as soon as we got to Jack and Carrie's the kids wanted to play outside! Carrie told Savannah there were lots of stray cats running around out back and that was all it took...she was off!

And then Jack came home!

Then we were in for a real treat! Carrie took us to our favorite restaurant Miyabi's!

That was about all the excitement we could handle for one day!!! Check back in for more of our trip!

Random Stuff!!!

The last week and a half have been pretty busy so I haven't had a lot time to take pictures and we haven't done anything too exciting!

Monday Savannah had an appointment with her cardiologist for a 2 year check up. Savannah was born with a tiny hole in one of her heart valves and although she has no effects from it other than a murmur, we've had to keep up with her cardiologist every year or so just to check to see if it has closed. So today was finally the day!!! Her hole has completely closed and she has been discharged from the Dr. This was fabulous news for me because this now means that 2 of my 3 children are specialist free!!! :)

She's just happy to be at home and in front of the TV! 

Owen has become a little more sneaky lately. He knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it. After Mike told him no jello before dinner, Owen got the stool, opened the drawer, got a fork, and helped himself to a little jello!!!

And poor Kate! Even though she has a week off from school, she still has homework! Her teacher sent home not only math homework but an essay assignment as well. :(

We are off to go visit Uncle Jack, Aunt Carrie, and the cousins in South Carolina and we are so excited to get to meet Baby Caroline!! We'll have some more interesting posts soon!!! :)

New Room Arrangement

As of Saturday night, the girls have moved into together!!! Mike and I have always planned on moving Owen upstairs into Savannah's room and moving the girls in together in Kate's room but we didn't plan on doing it so quickly. I was thinking summer time but Owen is a pretty light sleeper and it's becoming an issue so we've had to improvise!

We aren't totally sure what we're going to do with Owen's room but for now we're just hoping that we can all get a little better sleep :)

*And if you are wondering why three quarters of us are in our p.j.'s it's because we are all sick (again!) and had just one of those days laying around the house. It was nice, but I am so ready for us not to be sick anymore!!! Enough is enough!

Freezing!

This week we have really had a cold snap! Monday morning it was really cold when we got up for school so we had to break out the winter gear. I actually had to go out and buy some warmer clothes for Savannah and Owen because they have outgrown their winter stuff from last year and it got cold faster than I was ready for!!!
