Winter Wonderland!

I can honestly say that I have been pleasantly surprised by the fact that we haven't had too much snow this month! I was worried!!! But it's actually been in the 40's most days and we even had a couple of days in the 50's last week!

So I kind of shrugged off the talk of bad weather this weekend! I figured it would just be rain....

It appears I may have been wrong!!!

We woke up to an amazing Winter Wonderland! So pretty!!!

I am just thankful that it's the weekend and the only place I have to go today is to get a massage!!! :)

MLK Day!

This week we had Monday off due to MLK day and as usual I took advantage of the school holiday and booked us all into the dentist to get a cleaning!

We all four were in and out in an hour flat and I am still amazed by this! Everyone had a great check up! They are easy peezy lemon squeezy!

The girls still aren't quite ready to have their picture taken again!

Later that day we treated the kids to a movie! They were so excited to see Paddington :)

Here we go!!! It was a cute movie

Florida Trip Part 2

Probably the best part about our trip to Florida is that we got the chance to catch up with some old friends and some family that we haven't seen in a while!

Kate and one of her favorite old church friends Jillian

And Owen's old church friend Harry. These two spent a lot of time together in the nursery when they were little :)

We also got to go over and have lunch with Uncle Don and Aunt Susan and Sara and Emily. Owen had a good time helping Uncle Don on the grill.

Love these girls!

Disney!!!!

She doesn't often let me take her pic and she rarely smiles! So this is precious to me. It's a Small World selfie

After a long day driving and we checked into our hotel the kids had two rooms and four beds to spread out in they all end up in the same bed! Weirdos! Maybe they do love each other?

At a mall near Atlanta, we found the Disney store!

And this clearance backpack for 5.99 with a matching lunch box for 3.99. I am not sure which one of us was more excited but Owen is ready for Kindergarten now! Spider Man style!

One of the days we were in FL the kids spent the day with Mike's parents.

They had a fun day of music making and game playing.

And who could forget the dog? Just look at those happy faces!!!

Florida Trip Part 1

I am not really sure where to start with our Florida trip. It was all a big blur and completely exhausting! I didn't take a ton of pictures and they definitely don't have a theme....but some of them are pretty comical!

We stopped at Steak n Shake for lunch on the drive down. I just think he's cute :)

Savannah more than anyone was so pleased to be back in FL. She even tried snorkeling in the pool! What a nut!

The kids got to see Papa T's new house and his new golf cart! Is anyone surprised that the golf cart was a hit?!?!?!?

This was my favorite. Even with clouds the skies are bluer than I have seen for months

Savannah was a little mission minded while we were in FL. She was determined to fish....even with limited supplies :) She did managed to get a few little baby pond fish with her net and ziplock but they didn't live long.

The kids really loved having the run of Grandma and Grandpa John's house. They made breakfast, lemonade, played in the yard, and swam. They made themselves very comfortable :)

We drove down to Clearwater Beach and spent the evening. Savannah and Owen in particular were thrilled to be at the beach. Savannah wanted shells and Owen wanted to make sand castles.

He also wanted to swim in the hotel pool...which just happened to be heated :)

Shells! This girl was in hog heaven!
Happy kids on the porch swing! It was so nice to be in the warmer weather :)

While we were there, Kate and Savannah did some shopping in Grandma's closet and they made out with some sparkly items!! Lucky girls....

Disney Dud!

We arrived home from our FL vacation safely, just in time for a winter storm. The morning after we returned it was snowing and the 2nd day back school was cancelled due to temps in the negative! What a treat to come home to! :)

While I still have a ton of downloading and organizing to do, I thought I would share a sad little bit about our trip. Poor Owen had a rough 2 weeks while we were away....

As we were heading out of town all three kids were fighting off colds and we went through gobs of tissue on the two days down to FL. But thankfully nothing ever took hold. Unfortunately Owen battled a tender tummy the entire trip and even threw up a couple times. We could never tell if he was actually getting sick or if he was just sick of eating vacation food. At least two of the days he simply refused to eat. And as the week in FL wore on, he got more and more tired and worn out. The day of our big Disney trip, he was a total dud!

We did wake up quite early to get to Disney before opening, but he was pretty miserable from the get go. He didn't eat breakfast and refused to walk so I ended up carrying him most of the way to the stroller rental! And he's HEAVY!

It probably didn't help that we rode the Big Thunder Mountain roller coast first! But after getting his stroller and riding Peter Pan he was excited to ride the Speedway cars! Happy boy!

Pretty soon he was back to whining.... :(  And laying in my lap on a few of the rides.

And after eating no lunch, he was really moping. We stopped and sat while the girls rode Dumbo! Just look at his sad face!
He fell asleep. On a cement planter. Seriously.

Then this walked by...and he didn't budge

After about an hour, I rolled him into the stroller.

After the nap, he perked up a little and just look at the JOY on his face when I bought him his very own pirate sword!

My sweet baby put up with being drug all over Disney and even to dinner at T Rex! I was pretty much on edge the entire day just waiting for him to melt but he did pretty good! Hope the next time we go to Disney World he can enjoy it a little more!
