Taking A Little Break

Life has been more than a little hectic around here lately! I am not sure when it happened, but suddenly it seems like I am juggling way more than I would like to be.....might be the three kids, all their school stuff, dr appointments, activities, and such.....just maybe. So for the time being something has got to give. I am going to be taking a little break from all things blog and Facebook! Don't be nervous....it's not for forever, just for a bit. I am going to keep my Instagram account to post a few kid pics when they allow me to take them, but that is it!

To hold you over until next time here are two seriously cute things...

Happy

The other day I was just having a tough day! Nothing tragic just a lot of little things that added up to just make me feel a little down.....but then my kiddos got home from school and just wanted to play outside!

And I remembered how much I love this tree when it blooms in the spring!

Owen absolutely hated playing soccer but apparently the outfit is very stylish! He's mad about something here.....can't really remember what!

My little tree climber

All I can do is hold my breath and pray she doesn't break a limb!
They just make me happy! :)

Easter

This year Easter was a little comical!

We started out normally with baskets :)

And once again I was amazed by the fact that they were pleased with the contents

And just like usual I wanted to get a few pictures of the kids

It was chilly

but quite sunny...I was trying to hurry
It was just about at this point that Mike and I realized that neither one of us had the car keys....and the house was locked up tight.....and so were the cars......and it was a little chilly.....and none of us had on coats! Seriously.....

The kids were worried about Hogan being locked in!

So we did what any reasonable person would do....

we tried to break a window with this large rock!
Mike gave the window 3 good whacks with the rock with no result! Makes me feel a lot safer in this house! So then we called a locksmith! Thankfully, there was one open and not busy and so he had us in our house just a mere 45 mins after we realized we were locked out! And he thankfully did not raise his price for the Easter holiday. We even made it to church in time for communion and the last 4 songs!!!

We were all very intrigued at how this worked!

So after church we finished out or day pretty normally! Lunch!

And then an egg hunt in the yard! And as usual, Mike hid the eggs so well that even he was unable to find a handful of them :)

Overall it was a really nice Easter with the family but it was definitely an eventful start to the day!

Knoxville

For Spring Break the kids and I decided to take a trip to Knoxville TN and meet up with Grandma and Grandpa John for a few days!

We had a little celebration for Grandma's birthday and lucky for Kate she got her name on the cake too!

The best part about Grandma being around? IPad at the breakfast table! :)

Exploring the Downtown area

Kate was a little tired on the trip! :)

Grandpa John took the kids down by the Tennessee River

Savannah and Kate both had some great BBQ for dinner one night

The last day we had in Knoxville we met up with Catherine, Mallory, and Davey at the zoo. Kate and Mal have a sweet little bond!

Savannah surprising everyone as they came out of the tunnel

The kids decided to try out the camel rides
