Homecoming Parade :)

Yesterday evening Eustis High School had their annual Homecoming Parade. My girls LOVE a parade! They get so excited because they throw candy from the floats!

I think it was the best Homecoming Parade I have seen and the girls made out with the candy!! They are already looking forward to the next parade :)

Why The Purse?

Seriously, why do they go for the purse and more specifically the wallet every time you turn around?!?!?!?!?

About three years ago - it was another culprit! 

I guess I am going back to the days of hiding my purse! :)

Little Miss School Spirit

Oh my word! She is getting so big and is accessorizing her outfits lately!! Headbands, necklaces, bracelets, and today a little twist with her shirt!!! I can't take it! Someone needs to hit the pause button!

Mama Turns 30!

The day finally arrived! I turned the big 3-0. It actually wasn't all that traumatic because I already feel way older than 30 :) Three kids and all the stress/activity that comes with them definitely cements the fact that I am not as young as I would like to be anymore!!!

Although we agreed that we would skip presents and such, Mike and the girls got me a few little treats. They bought balloons, a card, and my favorite sweet treats. It was very thoughtful!

And later we went over to my Dad's for a visit and he bought me a cake! I can't remember the last time I had a birthday cake! And boy was it yummy!

Owen likes Baked Beans - just like his Daddy

The other night we had hamburgers and baked beans for dinner. I don't think it was the first time Owen had tried them but it was definitely the first time he ate so many!! The kid ate almost as much as Mike did!!!

And here's another one of cutie pie Owen just for fun!

He is doing great walking in his shoes and I think is walking more than he is crawling finally! What a big boy!

Two Lizards and a Snail

This morning as I was dragging the girls out the door for school, Savannah noticed a snail shell and just HAD to pick it up! Lucky for all of us, the snail was still in it!! Which meant we had to find a container and bring it back inside to the front porch for safe keeping! Ridiculous!

When I came home and checked on the snail, I realized that we have a small zoo on our front porch. We have two, yes two, lizards and now a snail!

Savannah has learned how to actually keep these things alive and now they are multiplying!!! Seriously! I think my biggest fear is what comes next - snakes, squirrels, birds, who knows?

Hopefully she will run out of containers to put them in before things get out of control!!

Fall is in the Air - Finally!!!

Yay!!! When I opened the door this morning it hit me - a cool breeze! It was the best feeling! Mike checked the thermometer this morning and it was 71 degrees! Yes! The promise of cooler weather :)

We were all in a great mood knowing that the cool weather was on it's way. We opened the windows and the girls played outside. And then after a lazy afternoon, we decided to go bike riding. But first, we had to dust them off and drag them from the shed :)

We took the girls to a local park with a riding path.

Kate did great as always and Savannah has improved so much since last year! After a few laps Savannah declared that her feet hurt and she was off to the play area.

Owen has started acting like a big boy and wearing shoes so even he was able to get down and play. It was a nice afternoon as a family. And it is amazing to think about getting a break from the sweltering heat. Fall is coming!!!
