Yesterday afternoon, Mike's Uncle Ken called and said he wanted to come by and drop off a little treat for the kiddos! Man what a treat it turned out to be!!
Not only is this the cutest wagon I have ever seen, it's in fabulous shape! The kids were doing laps around the yard and Owen was really enjoying the ride! Of course as soon as Daddy took the handle they were more like zipping across the yard and making Mommy a wee bit nervous! But he was all smiles :)
Thanks Uncle Ken - what a wonderful gift! I guarantee it will be loved!!! :)

Just Hanging Out
After a fun but busy weekend, Owen and Savannah spent this morning just hanging out watching TV. Even Owen seemed to enjoy the hour of Dragon Tales and Diego from his spot in the boppy pillow :)
Man, I miss the days spent lounging in front of the TV!!!

A Day Without Daddy
For the past month, Mike hasn't been working his driver's ed job and has been home every Saturday. It has been really nice but we all knew that it would end at some point. This Saturday Mike was signed up to work Saturday School and then help with refinishing wood floors in the afternoon. So that meant that I would have the kids from breakfast to dinner on my own.
After breakfast and a little lounging around the house, we decided to get McDonald's lunch and take it out to the park for a little picnic.
Within minutes after eating, Savannah was off to find bugs! She actually found one and used the french fry container as a little bug house.
After she gave me the bug to watch over, they were off to the playground. This is a relatively new park and it's awesome!!! Every kids dream!
Even Owen got a little play time :)
After a nice hard romp at the park, we were off to Papa T's house for a dip in the not-too-hot hot tub!
Savannah was torn between swimming and looking for bugs so she split her time. She even attempted a little tree climbing with Kate, but I was too nervous about her falling to get a picture.
Owen really enjoyed his second time swimming. We put him in Grandma's pool once when he was about 2 months, but this time he actually went all the way in and was kicking his feet in the water. He's gonna love all the summer pool time!!!

Ice Cream for an Oliver
One rule about being an Oliver is that you have to like ice cream! And so far our whole family loves ice cream - some more than others. Today when Mike and Kate walked in the door from school they both hit the freezer where they had saved a part of their Wendy's frosty from yesterday. Here is what happened when Owen got his first taste of ice cream!

Mischief times two
When Jasmine first started coming to our house in the fall, Savannah usually played by herself (and got into trouble by herself!). But since Savannah started going to PreSchool three days a week she and Jasmine get along better than ever and lately she has managed to lure Jasmine into a little mischief. Here they are sitting inside stackable storage containers that I specifically told Savannah not to climb in. I guess maybe she thought if she and Jasmine did it together she'd only get in half as much trouble. They were so cute I couldn't bare to scold them - this time!
