Usually the candy is the best part of any Easter basket but just one look at this one and I new the candy was part they would care the least about....and I was right!
Owen was home and the girls we already at school so he got first shot at the toys. He kept pointing and stamping his feet until I lowered it....and then he tried to rip right into it.
The basket included a little safari kit - a hat, a butterfly net, a tool box, shovel, rake, plastic insects, sidewalk chalk, and even and little kneeling pad to use in the garden. Owen loves hats so he tried that first.
It wasn't long before the girls came home and immediately knew there were new toys in the house....I think they have a sixth sense! So outside it was!
Using the net and the kneeling pad as a cover the girls caught five lizards and we able to transfer them into their tank.
they even included a few plastic bugs to keep them company |
After all their hard work, it was time for a drink break!
Thank you Mamaw for the wonderful treat! They were happily occupied for over an hour :) That is priceless! Now I just need to remember to go out and release those poor lizards while they are at school!!!
