Potty Problems!!!

I am so torn about when to start potty training Owen! He showed such promise this summer when he got all interested in the potty but consistency is not his thing...

The other night in an effort to get him excited about starting next week I pulled out the undies we have for him and asked him if he wanted to put them on. He was so enthusiastic that he even wanted a pair on his head!!!

About two minutes later I heard him grunting....yep, he pooped. Right in his undies...and when I asked him where he should be pooping he replied, "on Kate" :) Great!!!

So I just figured it was a fluke and put him in a second pair....until about 15 mins later when he peed all over my floor!!! I am all geared up to get started but maybe he is just not ready?!?!?!?

Kaitlyn Medical Update

In the last four weeks Kaitlyn and I have been clocking some major time at Nemours Childrens Hospital. Prior to October they only had clinics in Orlando and Lake Mary but now they have a brand new hospital and it is BEAUTIFUL! Kate and I both love going there even though it's a good 15 mins farther. First Kaitlyn had her surgery, then her post-op appointment where we found out that Kaitlyn has a bladder wall hematoma and will most likely need to be on antibiotics for about three months to see if that will stop the bleeding she has been experiencing. Then last week we saw a gastroenterologist about Kate's lack of weight gain and growth. He ordered some labs but thinks that her slow growth may be a result of some of her other medication so we will be following up with other appointments to see if we can adjust her meds to enable her to grow at a more normal rate.

This is how my girl feels about all these doctors!!!! Most days I totally agree :) But I am also so thankful to Nemours! They have taken such good care of Kate and really are working hard to solve the mystery that she is medically!!!
