Owen's 3rd Birthday!

My oh my! My sweet little Owen is three! I am torn between jumping up and down for joy about the end of babyhood and throwing myself on the floor and crying. I am so proud of the child that Owen is growing up to be (and overjoyed about the low maintenance lifestyle) but I know that pretty soon he's going to be heading off to school and all independent! I am going miss my little boy...

I am happy to report that we are out of diapers/pull ups and fully potty trained! He no longer has a sippy cup, rarely use a stroller, and we don't have to carry a diaper bag! yay!

We got him this Mickey Mouse chair for his birthday

For this birthday I was kind of sad because we just last month moved away from all of our friends and family and we've done so much fun stuff lately that I was basically out of ideas for a party or fun day. Also Mike had to work on his birthday so I just wasn't sure what to do for Owen. We decided to keep it pretty simple.

We wanted to go swimming but it was raining, so we went to Explorium!

We made cupcakes!

He kept all the sprinkles right in the center!

And then we went to Chuck E Cheese!!!

Trying to decide if he wants to meet Chuck E Cheese...he decided he didn't need to :)

And he got a lot of gifts over the last week!!! And they were pretty much all pirate themed which he was delighted about :)

From Nana and Papa O

He got lots of cards in the mail!
New pirate sheets and comforter from Grandma and Grandpa John

From Aunt Carrie and Uncle Jack

Owen and I have been reading together quite a bit this summer and he really loves his Llama Llama books, so here's a sweet quote dedicated to my birthday boy! "Little Llama don't you know? Mama Llama loves you so! Mama Llama's always near, even when she's not right here." I love you Owey!

All in all I would say he had a great birthday!! Thank you to everyone who sent him cards and gifts!! He is so lucky to be so loved!
