We have been doing a lot of running around since Kaitlyn got out of school. A lot of it has been fun stuff, but still tiring. So today I was determined to have a day of relaxed fun. To start it off, I let the girls play with the finger paints that Polly got Savannah for Christmas. She really wants to be a face painter when she grows up so this will give her good practice :)
Although when she got the blue paint in her mouth and starting tasting it, she decided she only wanted to paint other people's faces!!!
After the paint, Kaitlyn helped me get Owen's new little play area together while Savannah worked on her new found passion - puzzles!!! She is getting really good at them!
Then it was off to the Jungle Zone!!!They had a great time jumping and playing together.
We stayed as long as Kaitlyn could tolerate Savannah and then finished off our visit with a popsicle!!!
At home, we found Owen was still in one piece after several hours alone with Daddy...he was even enjoying the light up binkie that Papa T gave him for Christmas!!!

Owen is 5 months!!
Owen is 5 months old today! I can't believe how quickly these last 5 months have flown by! When I weighed him this morning he was 18 lbs 12 oz. What a chunker!!! We have had to start dressing him in 6-9 month clothing. This last month with Owen has been a neat month. He is starting to show more personality and spunk. He is "talking" a lot and he likes to look at people. He is also beginning to play with his toys. Christmas came at the perfect time for Owen because he got several new exciting toys to play with. His favorite is this light up and singing snail that he got from Nana and Papa O. Every time he hears it, he turns to face it.We have even caught him reaching out and grabbing it to make sing.
Mike found a little play car for Owen at a consignment shop so we bought it for Owen for next Christmas. But before putting it in the attic, Mike couldn't resist putting him in it.
It is amazing to me to think that just one year ago Mike and I were attempting to wrap our heads around the fact that we were having a baby and now we wouldn't know what to do without him! I am excited to see what 2011 will bring (just as long as it's not another baby)!

Hard Workers
Today, Mike decided to take the girls outside and wash and wax the cars. They even cleaned out the interior! It was so sweet to see everybody pitching in to get the job done :)
And Mike was nice enough to let me off the hook so I could get some things done in the house. Unfortunately, Owen was possessed by something evil and screamed for over an hour before finally falling asleep so I managed to get very little done! Well, at least most of the family was productive today :)

Lowry Park Zoo
Today we took Nana and our niece/cousin Reese to Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa! It was a blast, but man was it cold and windy!!!!
Savannah was very much looking forward to the giraffes and the giraffe apparently was looking forward to the girls too!!!! What a great pic!
We really wanted to do the camel ride however due to the wind they had to cancel the camel rides. As we were talking to the lady at the camel area, she invited the girls to come down give the rhinos a little snack! Each girl got to help feed the rhinos and pet them too!! It was awesome!!! Kaitlyn said that they felt like a rubbery blanket.
After feeding the rhinos, we went over to the kids area and rode the roller coaster!
Then we went to feed the goats! Those guys were hungry!!!
Poor Owen was not only bundled up in several layers, he was stuck in his car seat/stroller most of the day!!! He did pretty good though :)
After we ate lunch, we decided to go in and feed the lorikets. Last time we were there, the birds didn't really want to eat but today they flocked right to us!!! We barely made it in the door and they were all over us! It was really cool!!!
Overall, even though it was cold and windy, I think we all enjoyed our day together at the zoo!
I don't think anyone was happier than Owen to get home and stretch out!!! He absolutely LOVES his new toys he got yesterday!!!

Christmas Dinner at Nana and Papa O's
For Christmas dinner we went to Nana and Papa O's house. We had a delicious meal of prime rib, glazed carrots, potatoes, spinach, and rolls.
It was wonderful to see Ben, Renee, and Reese who drove down from Pensacola!! The little girls had the best time playing in a box :)
It was nice to have the entire family together and thanks to a neighbor, we were able to get a picture!
After dinner, we opened presents. As usual the kids made out like bandits!!!
Here are Mike, David, and Renee sporting their college hats which were given as gifts!
Savannah wandered off into Nana's room to read her new book in silence, while Owen spent some quality time with his Uncle David!
It was a great way to end our Christmas holiday!!!
