In the four years that we have had Kaitlyn, she has been in 3 parades. First she was the Grand Marshall of the MGM Parade at Disney, then she rode with her Uncle Keith in the President's Day parade last year, and yesterday she rode on a float with her Girl Scout Troop in the Mt Dora Christmas Parade. She is our parade queen!! The theme of their float was "T'was the night before Christmas". Their float had a bed on it, the littler girls on the float dressed up as sugar plum fairies with wings and headbands and the older girls wore p.j.'s and waked beside the float.
Although Savannah has never been in a parade, I think she loves them more than anyone else in our family. Why? Because they throw candy of course!!! Mike and I didn't even have to remind her to bring a bag...as soon as she heard it was time for the parade, she got one of her little play purses and was ready to go. She hams it up too. When the floats pass she smiles and waves and yells hi. She even remembers to say thank you when people toss candy her way!
This was Owen's first parade! He slept through most of it but seemed to enjoy looking around at all the activity.
