Trunk or Treat and Trick or Treat

Sunday afternoon we went over with Nana to Grandma and Grandpa John's church to join in their Trunk or Treat.

And then finally Wednesday evening we went over to Papa T's house for our annual trick or treat session!

Owen threw up all over his Super Man outfit in the car on the way over so we improvised and he became Super Elmo!

Sea World Part 2 - Spooktacular

The other fun thing we did at Sea World was go to their Spooktacular. It was quite different than Disney's but still fun. This was just one section of the park they had dedicated to Halloween and you could walk through and get candy. They had it set up like a carnival with games and such but everything cost so we focused on photo ops and candy stations :)

He willingly went without a parent but still had to hug Kate :)

I have to say, Disney does it better but the girls love Sea World so they were just happy to be there. After we made it through the Halloween part we did a few things and then went to feed the seals and sea lions. It's a favorite of all of ours.

It was a cool and windy (thank you Hurricane Sandy) day at Sea World and we had a great time together!

Sea World Part 1 - Elmo Breakfast

This year rather than going to Disney's Halloween thing we decided to try Sea World's Halloween Spooktacular. Interestingly enough, I found that Sea World also had a special Sesame Street character breakfast and a Halloween show. Right up our alley...or at least Owen's.

We decked him out in his Elmo gear again...

The lighting in there was terrible, but it was a decent meal and a great time meeting the characters and watching them do their little show!!!

Blast from the past....

My mom and I took the girls to a similar breakfast three years ago!! This was August 2009

Girls Day!!!

Thursday Kaitlyn had an appointment with the Urologist and it was so early that I couldn't take Savannah to school so we decided to just have a girls day! We were able to take Owen to school and then head off.

Since the mornings are cooler now, Owen has become obsessed with his jacket.

The appointment went well but Kaitlyn has to have an ultrasound and another surgical procedure :( After the appointment we went to Old Navy to get some jeans for Kaitlyn and I! The girls got treated to some Halloween balloons.

Guess who is not happy?!?!?!

Then we got a few things at Target and JoAnn Fabrics and went for a special lunch at our favorite spot - Boston Market!

When we finally made it home Savannah and I worked on her Animal Mask for her upcoming Animal Mask Parade at school.

She's going to be a unicorn...don't worry...it's not finished :) 

After that the girls day continued with some peaceful play outside!!!

I haven't decided whether Kate is ridiculous or really smart to have that helmet on! It was a great day with just my girls :)

Sick Again!!!

Oh my goodness!!! Owen is sick again! He started with a runny nose on Friday evening and then by Sunday evening he was running a fever. Mike stayed home with him on Monday and I have been home for the last two days with him!!! Poor baby! :(

Owen fell asleep on me sitting in the chair and I needed to get ready to go to the Dr so I laid him on the chair!!

He's out cold!

The Dr thought he had the flu but after a negative flu test, she figured that his sinus infection from two weeks ago must not have been totally knocked out by the antibiotics. So he has another stronger round of meds in addition to steroid syrup for his croupy cough. Hopefully he'll be better soon!

On Wednesday morning I was staying home again and the whole family ended up oversleeping!! I raced around getting the girls ready for school and ended up just getting them Dunkin Donuts for breakfast on the way to school. Savannah got two donuts and then decided that she wanted to save some for her Dad.

I love the fact that she is learning to read and write!

So generous :)

And finally after we dropped them off Owen and I got to settle in for some Sesame Street :)

Pizza in the Park

Saturday evening after the Bear Fair we were still excited because we got to go have pizza at the park with Papa O, Nana, Renee, and Reese.
