Fourth of July with Grandma and Grandpa John

This year we were hoping to have a really festive 4th of July because Grandma and Grandpa John were coming in for a visit! We got food for a cookout and even bought some small fireworks...but the weather was not cooperating!

We ended up grilling out in the garage, and then hanging out indoors the rest of the evening

We didn't get to set off our fireworks that night but we were hopeful the weather would be better the next day!

So after lunch while Owen was napping and Mike was working, we took the girls over to Grandma and Grandpa's hotel for an indoor swim!!!

Later on it was out to dinner at Ramsey's....check out Owen and Savannah's condiment tower!

And then finally, a clear moment to light off our fireworks!

I got small ones but they were still fun!

And of course, you have to have Sparklers

The next morning after an early breakfast it was time to say good bye!!

 

Lucky Kate has a dentist appointment for her palate expander that happened to coincide with their visit so Grandma and Grandpa John are whisking Kate away for the weekend to Florida and then she gets to ride back on a plane all by herself!! She's getting so big!
