Savannah GA

On the day we were to drive home from South Carolina, both families dressed up like cows for Chick-fil-a's Cow Appreciation Day. We weren't sure exactly how dressed up we had to be to earn our free breakfast, but it turned out they loved our outfits. It probably helped that we had the girls walk in mooing :)
Chick-fil-a rewarded our efforts with 7 free breakfast meals! It was almost $30 in food!! It was a great way to end the trip and a yummy meal to start us on our road trip :)

Because Savannah GA is basically in the middle of our trip, and because we didn't get to stop there during our Easter trip we decided to do lunch there. Mike has been there but none of us so we were anxious to see the city.

We walked down River St and found a cute little outdoor place to eat. All was well until Savannah decided to swat herself in the face to get a bug that was hovering and gave herself a nosebleed! Man was that embarrassing!!! She was bleeding all over the place and there were people eating on either side of us!!

She plays in the dirt no matter where we go!
After our lunch we walked around River St and then decided to take a carriage ride around the city. It is probably the best way to see a lot in a short amount of time with little kids. :)

Kate and I were the only ones who managed to stay engaged. Savannah slept almost the entire ride! Then it was time to head back to the car!

Miserable! Too much walking!

Quick diaper change!

Silly faces
All in all, it was a great day and a great trip! I am glad that we all got to see the city of Savannah and enjoy a nice vacation together! Thanks Jack, Carrie, and Chase for having us! It was a real treat!!
