Sickie Savannie

Last night our family attended a church pot luck dinner and Savannah got to eat and then go watch a movie with the other kids while the adults met with their ministry teams. When we picked her up to leave, she was complaining that she ate too much popcorn and that her belly hurt. We thought nothing of it really and sent her to bed. Until about 9:00 when she threw up!!!

So we made her a little spot next to my side of the bed and she slept with us. Throughout the night she threw up a total of 5 times, thankfully in her big green bowl!! Poor girl!

This morning, she did a lot of this...

Just not feeling so hot....but she was able to eat part of a bagel with cream cheese and some sprite and actually keep it down.

Poor Savannie! She doesn't really get sick all that often anymore so it's kind of sweet to see her so pathetic!! It makes me realize she is human after all :)

President's Day Parade

On Saturday we attended the annual President's Day parade. We have been to the parade every year that we have had Kate with the exception of last year (if I remember correctly Owen was having surgery that week and the weather was really bad). So we were all excited to attend and for Owen's first time!

The parade was really nice this year and Owen got into running into the street to grab the candy along with the girls. He really catches on quick!

After the parade, the girls really wanted to ride a few of the carnival rides that were set up behind the parade route. So we decided that if they used their own money we would take them! (I was really hoping that might deter them!!!)

I really wanted to get Owen on a ride, but they were all a little big for him, so Savannah and I rode the little dinosaur ride with him!

My face says it all!! It was a little rickety! Maybe he didn't need to ride one after all! 

After that, there was tickets enough for one last ride for the girls. Dizzy Dinos for them!!!

Thankfully they hadn't eaten lunch yet :)

Savannah's New Spot

Big Boy, Cool Stuff

Ok so I am the first to admit I really love buying stuff for my kids! I love buying them clothes, toys, craft materials, basically anything they get excited about I get excited about! Recently I made a commitment that I was not going to buy Owen any more "baby" stuff. No more baby crackers/food/juice or baby toys.

I did really good for about two weeks. Then I just started buying big boy stuff! It started with a pair of kids sunglasses. They were so cute!! And they were Hot Wheels! That is so not baby!

These are not the ones I bought him. He loved them so much he put them somewhere super safe and as soon as they resurface again I will get a picture :)

Then I took it a step further and bought him a pillow pet!! But it's a Thomas the Train pillow pet!! I am just getting so excited about the boy stuff that I can't help myself!

It's not his favorite thing to play with, but I think it's precious :)

Catherine's Crown

Today when Savannah came home from school she ran into her room and locked the door as she does on many days. It's her "project time". A while later she emerged just as I finished feeding Catherine with a treat!!! A crown she made just for Catherine.

Unfortunately it was a little small and because Catherine kept moving to see what was on her head, the crown kept sliding and Savannah insisted on adjusting it!!! Watch what happened :)

She chomped right down on Savannah's finger!! It was priceless :) Savannah had no idea it was coming :)

Baby Shower for Baby Brendan

On Sunday Mary, Aunt Amy, and I hosted a baby shower for Raena (Mike's cousin's wife) and her soon to be baby boy Brendan!!!

Raena looks gorgeous and is probably the happiest pregnant woman I have ever met!!!

Raena got a ton of cute outfits and diapers for her little baby boy. We can't wait to meet him :) Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate this wonderful blessing!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

This is the first year that Savannah is celebrating Valentine's Day at a school and boy was she excited!! She had been talking all weekend about her "Balentime's Party at Mr. Trah's class!"

From us the girls got a pair of socks and some of their favorite candy. Owen got a new matchbox car and some animal crackers. From Jack and Carrie the girls each got another pair of socks and some Minnie Mouse lip gloss! They were so excited! Thanks Carmodys!!

For a special family dinner, Mike suggested we buy steak and baking potatoes! Yummy!!!
