I Love You!

The other night while I was rocking Owen to sleep I whispered in his ear "I love you" and much to my delight he whispered something back. It wasn't I love you, but it might as well have been! It was so sweet!!! We have been doing it back and forth as a game now and I was determined to get it on camera! If you pay close attention to the very first time I try, you will hear him whisper it back! I tried to get him to do it again but he was distracted by the camera :) Enjoy!

Appointments Galore!!!

Oh....sometimes I just wonder if ever life will settle down for good. We recently had a six week period where we had no doctor's appointments. It was so nice! And then wham!!! In a three week period, we have had seven appointments!!!

Kaitlyn had to see her endocrinologist and nephrologist. Then Owen had to see a dermatologist for a mystery rash. I had a dentist appointment, Owen caught a nasty stomach virus and saw the pediatrician.

after just a few drops, her ear is already feeling better!

 Three days later, Savannah had an ear ache and also made a trip to the pediatrician!! She had swimmers ear! Then it was back to the nephrologist for Kaitlyn and to complete our visits Owen will be seeing the dermatologist once more. :) My oh my....it is exhausting!!!!

Kate is Ten!!!

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!!!

I seriously can't believe that she is ten!! Even though I didn't give birth to her or even have her for ten years, I am just really having issues with her being in the double digits! Look how much she has grown too!!!

Today was supposed to be the first day back from Spring Break but Kate had a nephrologist appt so I let her skip school! But she was up and ready celebrate first thing this morning!!!

Kaitlyn actually started with birthday festivities yesterday when she went to Nana and Papa O's house. She got:

a new outfit for Butterscotch

a new bathing suit that she LOVES

and this awesome neck pillow!!

This morning, she got to open a gift from Uncle Jack and Aunt Carrie and then we headed out to the mall to spend some of her birthday money that she got from Grandma and Grandpa John.

Another American Girl book to add to her collection :) 

At Target she bought a headband, a Magic 8 ball (yes, those are still around!!), a new watch, and a recorder. Then we went to her appointment.

 For lunch we stopped off at one of her favorite spots - Boston Market!! She tore up her lunch! Then it was on to Toys R Us!!!

 After dinner, she had more birthday coming....she picked out a cake at Publix and had one more present to open!! Man, this girl made out!!!

Kaitlyn on her 6th birthday! And I can remember taking her to Libby Lu like it was yesterday :) Ah, she was so stinking cute!!! Ok, I am tearing up now :) This just can't be happening! Love you big girl!!!

Trip to South Carolina Part 2

After a busy day on Saturday we decided to be a little more low key on Sunday! We went to church and then spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out at Carrie and Jack's house.

Before we knew it it was time to go!!! For whatever reason on this trip Savannah just could not get enough of Uncle Jack. She wanted to sit by him, she wanted to play with him, and she even asked if she could sleep with him!!! So we just had to get a picture of the two BFFs!!! :)

Trip to South Carolina Part 1

Because this week is Spring Break I decided to get away and go visit my sister in South Carolina for a few days. Her son Chase is almost 2 and he and Owen love getting to play so this was as good an excuse as any!!! Owen, Savannah, my Dad, and I left Friday afternoon and got there about bedtime. But Saturday morning we were up and at 'em ready for fun! Carrie planned to take us to a children's museum.

There was a construction area, a farm, a grocery, and a dentist area! It was really neat!

When we got to the big fire truck we noticed Owen had a fire truck on his shirt so we had to dress him up!

He was a little nervous of the big fireman at first!

Toward the end of our visit we went into this story book room and Owen immediately found a set of drums!! Papa O would have been so proud of him! :)

After we left we stopped for a quick lunch and then went to Carrie's house to put the boys down for a nap. I told Savannah to wait patiently for me to get Owen down and then I would put her a movie on. This is what I found after getting Owen to sleep -
